<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which inconsistency between a displacement amount of an intermediate transfer body derived during displacement amount derivation and processing in a width direction and a displacement amount of the intermediate transfer body during image forming and processing in a width direction is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 10, a current value flowing between a first member 14 and a second member 17 during displacement amount derivation and processing is adjusted such that a frictional force between the inside of an intermediate transfer body 6 and the outside of the first member 14 of a secondary transfer device 28 is substantially the same during image forming and processing and during displacement amount derivation and processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
