<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a transparent or translucent gas barrier film superior in oxygen barrier properties and water vapor barrier properties while an evaporation rate and a plasma density of a material can be set arbitrarily and gas barrier properties relative to a deposition rate can be set arbitrarily, and to provide a packaging material for pressure/heat sterilization using the gas barrier film. <P>SOLUTION: In a packaging material for pressure/heat sterilization, a gas barrier film (10, 11), an adhesive layer (13), a nylon film (14), an adhesive layer (15) and a heat sealing resin (16) are laminated in the order. In the gas barrier film, a ceramic layer (11) is formed on a plastic film (10) by means of a vapor deposition method using a vapor deposition means.
