<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collate patterns with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: A feature extraction part extracts features of an input pattern. A collation part performs first collation for collating a first feature which does not change with age among the features of the input pattern with a template pattern, and second collation different from the first collation for collating a second feature which changes with age among the features of the input pattern with the template pattern. Aging feature correction means generates correction data for removing an influence which commonly appears in the first feature and the second feature from the second feature, based on the collation result by the first collation, and generates collation data for removing, as the influence which commonly appears, at least one influence among an influence by rotation of the input pattern, an influence by parallel translation of the input pattern, an influence by deformation of the input pattern, an influence by difference in brightness, and an influence by difference in density. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
