<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile yarn fixing structure of an in-vehicle tufted carpet by which a pile yarn can be fixed to a base cloth without using a different material for fixing the pile yarn and by a simple process. <P>SOLUTION: The pile yarn fixing structure of the in-vehicle carpet which is placed on a base carpet member laid on a floor panel of an automobile includes: the base cloth; and the pile yarn of thermoplastic resin which is passed through and implanted into the base cloth from its front side toward its back side. Molten lumps are formed by cooling after heating and melting in backstitched parts of the pile yarn on the back side of the base cloth.
