<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for generating a travel control plan to improve utilization efficiency of an intersection. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 110 for generating a travel control plan to control the travel of a vehicle in conjunction with a traffic light includes: a vehicle detecting unit 113 for detecting a vehicle to go straight and a vehicle to turn right/left which are required to stop at the traffic light; and a travel control plan generation unit 115 for generating a travel control plan of the vehicles so as to cause at least some of the vehicles to turn right/left to stop before the vehicle to go straight. The apparatus 110 for generating the travel control plan causes at least some of the vehicles to turn right/left to stop ahead of the vehicle to go straight, thereby allowing the vehicle to go straight to accelerate and pass through the intersection at a higher speed while the preceding vehicles are turning right/left, resulting in improvement in utilization efficiency of the intersection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
