IMPROVED APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR MAKING SOFT GEL CAPSULES

<p>An apparatus for making softgel capsules comprising: two extrusion nozzles; two cooling and tension rollers; two rotary dies; a wedge; and a filling station. A method is also provided for for producing softgel capsules, comprising the steps of: (a) softening or melting a suitable film forming composition; (b) extruding said suitable film forming composition through two extrusion dies directly into two tension rollers; (c) passing the extruded films over rotating dies; (d) simultaneously forming, filling, heat-sealing and cutting capsules; and (e) washing and drying said capsules.</p>
