Enable surface mounting of even large-capacity electrolytic capacitors, and facilitate the replacement of electrolytic capacitors, allowing effective reuse of circuits. A surface mount socket for an electrolytic capacitor (11) comprises a support part (12) which receives the lower end face of an electrolytic capacitor (61), comprising leads (63, 64) on the lower end face of the main body part (62) thereof. A retaining part (13) is formed on the support part (12), detachably retaining components on the side of the leads (63, 64) in the main body part (62) of the electrolytic capacitor (61). Connection terminals (31) are also disposed on the support part (12), electrically connecting the leads (63, 64) on the obverse face of a circuit substrate (51). Depression sites (14) are formed on the upper face of the support part (12) which permit deformations in the rubber seals (65) on the lower end part in the main body part (62) of the electrolytic capacitor (61). Terminal extraction trenches (15) are formed on the lower face of the support part (12) for extracting the connection terminals (31). |
