<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray waveguide for developing a wave guide mode whose X-ray absorption loss is low, and for changing the propagation loss of the X-ray. <P>SOLUTION: This X-ray waveguide includes: a core for wave-guiding an X-ray with a wavelength band in which the refraction index real part of substance is turned to be 1 or less; and a clad for confining the X ray in the core. The core includes a periodic structure in which a plurality of basic structures constituted of a plurality of substances whose refraction index real parts are different are formed to be periodically arranged, a low electronic density layer constituted of the substance whose electronic density is lower than that of the substance whose electronic density is the highest among the plurality of substances constituting the core is installed between the core and the clad, and the total reflection critical angle of the X-ray on an interface between the clad and the low electronic density layer is set to be larger than a Bragg angle due to the periodicity of the basic structure of the periodic structure of the core. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
