摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method with which an image with excellent color reproducibility can be displayed at a wide angle of view even in the case where a video signal of an interlace system is inputted. <P>SOLUTION: A video signal O11H with a higher luminance than a gradation of a video signal O11 for an odd-numbered frame f1 is generated and written into a first line. Then, an interpolation video signal SDL with a lower luminance than that of the video signal O11 is generated and written into a second line. Similar processing is also applied to odd-numbered lines subsequent to a third line and even-numbered lines subsequent to a fourth line. Then, an interpolation video signal SDL with a lower luminance than that of a video signal E11 for an even-numbered frame f2 is generated and written into the first line. After that, a video signal E11H with a higher luminance than that of the video signal E11 is generated and written into the second line.
