THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION AND MOLDED ITEM FORMED FROM SAME

Provided are thermoplastic resin composition obtained by combining 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin (A) containing polylactide resin, with 1-100 parts by weight of a flame retardant (B) containing: a flame retardant (B-1) which is obtained by selecting melamine phosphate and/or melamine pyrophosphate and/or melamine polyphosphate; and a flame retardant (B-2) which is obtained by selecting piperazine phosphate and/or piperazine pyrophosphate and/or piperazine polyphosphate. Observed under a transmission electronic microscope, the major axis of the largest particle of the flame retardant (B) in the composition is 10µm or less, and the ratio of the quantity of articles of the flame retardant (B) with major axes of 3µm or less relative to the quantity of articles per 1,000 µm2 is 70% or more, in the thermoplastic resin composition. The thermoplastic resin composition forms a molded item. The thermoplastic resin composition and the molded item formed from the thermoplastic resin provide superior mold processability, impact resistance, and heat resistance, in addition to particularly strong fire resistance.
