<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for feeding an extruder with an ethylene-α-olefin-nonconjugated polyene copolymer rubber, a polypropylene-based resin and a crosslinking agent without impairing their properties and in their homogeneous composition, in production of an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer composition using the extruder. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing a thermoplastic elastomer composition by melt-kneading together an ethylene-α-olefin-nonconjugated polyene copolymer rubber and a polypropylene-based resin in an extruder while crosslinking them each other with a crosslinking agent is provided. In this method, the lumpy rubber, the powdery polypropylene-based resin and the crosslinking agent are blended together, in a hermetic kneader, at a temperature lower than the lowermost temperature among the melting point (t1) of the resin, the one-minute half-life temperature (t2) of the crosslinking agent and the reaction-initiating temperature (t3), and the resultant blend is then fed into the extruder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
