<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shift a vehicle which can charge an electrical storage device for vehicle driving by power supplied from a power supply outside of vehicle to an outside chargeable state with a simple operation by user. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU controls a vehicle which can charge the electrical storage device for vehicle driving by power supplied from the power supply provided in the outside of the vehicle. The ECU, when the user pushes an IG switch without stepping on a brake pedal in a sleep state A (in the case of IG=ON and ST=OFF), will be an IG neutral state to stand by without choosing a control mode (arrow c). The ECU, when coming to the IG neutral state, until the prescribed time T passes, chooses a travel control mode (arrow d) when an ST signal is input, and maintains the IG neutral state when the ST signal is not input.
