<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of downsizing an electromechanical device. <P>SOLUTION: A power generating device 100, which is a kind of an electromechanical device, comprises: a central shaft 110; a rotor 121 having permanent magnets 123; electric magnets 124, which are stators, disposed on an outer circumference of the rotor 121; and a rotation mechanism portion 130 that is connected to the rotor 121 and is used to transmit rotation driving force. In the rotor 121, recesses 1212 are formed.
