<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform objective inspection without affected by a measuring condition and an appearance such as a smear while having simplicity of a visual observation level, and to inspect places such as an inner face of a steel pipe where a checker and an inspection instrument are hard to approach. <P>SOLUTION: An plating deterioration state diagnosing method includes a step of ablating a surface of a plating by radiating a pulse laser beam on the surface of the plating which is an inspection object while targeting the plating formed on a metal object to be plated, a step of obtaining a light emission intensity of an element composing a metal substrate and a light emission intensity of an element of a plating component by measuring and dispersing plasma emission generated by the ablation, and a step of evaluating a deteriorating state of a plating layer based on a change of an intensity ratio of the light emission intensity of the element composing the metal substrate to the light emission intensity of the element of the plating component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
