The drive (1) has a compression spring (3) arranged between a closer piston (4) and a spring piston (8). The spring piston exhibits a larger diameter and a smaller diameter, where the larger diameter faces the compression spring. The spring piston with the smaller diameter has a projection (8`) that is operatively connected with a closer piston surface (4a) of the closer piston through an overflow channel (11`) for releasing an actuation of the drive in an open condition of a leaf of a door or window, where the piston surface is turned away from the compression spring. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a drive for a leaf of a door or a window. |
