1330897 Concrete element for quay walls &c F K LUDER 12 Nov 1970 [22 Nov 1969] 53956/70 Heading E1H A concrete element 1 for quay walls, moles, dykes, dams piles &c, comprises four limbs 2, 3 of which two adjacent limbs 2 are shorter, the ends 4 of the shorter limbs abutting against sides 5 of the longer limbs 3 of a suitably placed similar element 1, e.g. to form a layer of a wall. The elements may have holes 6 through which piles 14 may be driven to anchor the elements. The holes 6 and spaces 17 may be filled with gravel 13 or concrete which may extend into a hollow below the wall. The wall may be curved by the shorter limbs 2 being of different lengths. The wall may comprise several layers and be capped by a member (18) having spigots (19) Fig. 3 (not shown) entering the spaces 17 or 20. The wall may alternatively be formed with the adjacent elements of each layer at different heights, Fig. 2 (not shown). The elements may be 0.5 to 1m. thick and have a span of about 3m. |
