The instrument i.e. shaver (10), has proximal and distal end sections (12, 16), and a central section (14) extending between the end sections, where the instrument has a long stretched, hollow outer shaft (11) extending proximal to the distal end section of the instrument. The outer shaft includes a joint zone (18) arranged in the area of the distal end section, and a drive element is rotatably supported in the outer shaft. A flexible section of the drive element exhibits length in an axial direction, which corresponds to length of the joint zone. |
