The assembly (10) has a fixation unit e.g. longitudinal and transverse fixation angle bracket, to fix a crosspiece (12) with a front side upright of a body shell of a vehicle. A connection zone (30) connects the crosspiece to a MacPherson strut. A monoblock reinforcing element (14) is integrated with the crosspiece, and is fabricated from a material i.e. magnesium, lighter than that of the crosspiece. The reinforcing element has an X or Y-shaped fixation unit (34) that fixes the element with the upright, where the reinforcing element and the fixing unit are formed from same material.
