LINTEL TYPE DAMPER USING MULTI-LEVEL SLIP OF FRICTION MATERIAL

PURPOSE: A lintel type vibration control damper using multi-level slip of a friction pad is provided to cope with wind load and seismic load because transformation areas of each friction member are operated and accumulated in order after generating slip. CONSTITUTION: A lintel type vibration control damper using multi-level slip of a friction pad comprises a first friction member(100), a second friction member, and a third friction member. The first friction member is formed of a square frame to install in lintels between walls. The first friction member has hinge shafts(H) in the edge and one pair of edges, corresponding to each other, are installed in the lintels. The first friction member is slipped in the form of a lozenge shape with friction force provided from the other pair of the edges. The second and third friction members are formed of a straight plate shape. The second friction member is diagonally fixed in one side of the first friction member to provide the friction force, and slipped in straight direction. The third friction member is fixed in the first friction member in parallel with the second friction member and slipped in the straight direction. The slip displacement of the third friction member is greater than the second friction member.
