PURPOSE: A semiconductor memory device and a refresh method thereof are provided to improve performance by interleaving between memory banks. CONSTITUTION: A memory bank includes a plurality of memory cells. A self refresh controller(150) generates a refresh address and outputs a low address including page information by using the refresh address. The memory bank is driven based on the low address. A refresh operation is selectively performed according to a page of the memory bank.
