With respect to a low-height connector, it is intended to provide a socket and header for connector capable of inhibiting the generation of burr, etc. In socket (10) for connector (1), socket body (11) is formed with the same separated into socket body base part (12) and socket body locking part (13). The socket body base part (12) is molded in advance by injecting a molten resin at a high injection pressure. The socket body locking part (13) is formed by positioning the socket body base part (12) together with socket contact (30) in a metal mold and injecting a molten resin at a low injection pressure. By virtue of this two-way separation of forming of socket (10), the generation of burr, etc. can be inhibited even when insert molding of socket contact (30) is carried out. With respect to header (40) as well, header body base part (42) is molded in advance at a high injection pressure, and the header body base part (42) together with header contact (60) are subjected to insert molding of header body locking part (43). |
