An image forming apparatus capable of being located on a desk of a user is provided to improve convenience for a user to work easily and be specialized for an individual user who performs a small amount of printing and a small amount of copying. An image forming apparatus includes a first body, and a second body which has the same width as that of the first body and is openably disposed on a top of the first body. A laser scanning unit(240) is disposed in the second body. Image forming units excluding the laser scanning unit are disposed in the first body, forming a "C"-shaped paper path. A first power supply unit(300) and a second power supply unit(400) are disposed on a bottom of the first body, a control substrate(500) is disposed on one sidewall surface of the first body and a driving force transmitting unit(600) is disposed on the other sidewall surface of the first body.
