<p>A data entry system and a method of word predictive data entry of a desired word are disclosed. The data entry system comprises (a) first input means to provide input signals ambiguously corresponding to a plurality of characters; (b) second input means, different from the first input means, to provide correction information; (c) a dictionary database of words and (d) a word predictive system to predict a first word from the dictionary of words based on the input signals and if the second input means receives correction information the word predictive system provides a second word based on the input signals and the correction information, and the second input means is used to provide correction information to precisely define at least the beginning character of the desired word.</p> |
