Disclosed is a method of forming an anchor on an insulated cable (110). The method comprises the following steps: · providing a wicking material (112) in contact with the insulation of the cable (110); · introducing a liquid, settable adhesive into the wicking material (112) on the insulated cable (110); and · allowing the liquid, settable adhesive to be wicked into the wicking material (112)and to set as to bond the wicking material (112) to the insulation of the cable (110) and form a projecting anchor or the insulated cable (110).
