<p>A backlight chassis (6a, 6c), which can be heated to a temperature equal to or higher than a certain temperature upon the conduction of heat generated in a light source (2, 4), is composed of at least a plastic material reinforced with carbon fibers. Therefore, it becomes possible to provide a liquid crystal display device which does not undergo warpage or deflection that is usually caused by the difference in amounts of thermal expansion, has reduced luminance unevenness, and therefore can display an image having excellent quality.</p> |
