<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly flexible residence suited to a life style, increasing a degree of freedom in design, utilizing an open ceiling structure. <P>SOLUTION: A common joist receiving fitting 64 is attached to a stud 35 previously provided in a wall part 39 during new construction, a common joist 66 is fixed to the common joist receiving fitting 64, and then a floor face material 68 is mounted to provide an extended floor 14. As the stud 35 is provided in a vertical direction, the extended floor 14 can be set in a free place in the vertical direction of an open ceiling section 12 corresponding to a life style and variations in family constitution and according to requests of users.
