An electrical contact for use in a card-edge connector includes a wiping finger that establishes a curved surface tangent to the plane of a printed circuit board inserted into the connector. The wiping finger is connected to an upstanding support leg by a pivot arm; the support leg and the pivot arm lie parallel to, but spaced from each other, and are interconnected by a U-shaped arcuate bend. A plurality of such contacts, when mounted in different connector housings, can be connected by a bus bar, which may be integral with said contacts. |
