<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum heat insulating material contributing to energy savings by reducing thermal effect of a radiating pipe, and a refrigerator equipped with the vacuum heat insulating material. <P>SOLUTION: The vacuum heat insulating material includes a core material of a fiber assembly and an outer packaging material for housing the core material, the inside of the outer packaging material being decompressed. In the core material, first and second laminated bodies are disposed at a predetermined spacing on a third laminated body. The third laminated body is bent to the sides of the first and second laminated bodies to fill the predetermined spacing by hot compression molding. Thus, the recess is formed on the side of the third laminated body.
