<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the frequency of control to reduce the fusing temperature by interrupting a printing job to operate a fuser. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 22, when a plurality of printing jobs are being executed, calculates with respect to the next printing job to be executed the expected surface temperatures ((the number of sheets to be printed in the next printing job)×A+T0) of temperature detection areas 201a and 201b corresponding to a non-paper-passing part of a fusion roller 201 at the time of printing; if the expected temperatures are higher than a preset temperature T1, determines that the temperature of the non-paper-passing part of the fusion roller 201 needs to be lowered, and selects a printing job including passing of paper through the temperature detection areas 201a and 201b as the next printing job to be executed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
