A litter box for a domestic animal comprises a box- like body (12a; 12b) equipped with an upper support wall (14) that has a through opening (16), containment means (21,22,24) of a granular litter material (R) susceptible to absorb the animal excrements, and a first tubular duct (20) arranged below the upper wall (14), which is substantially extended between the upper wall (14) and the bottom of the body (12a; 12b), for conveying the animal excrements towards a discharge zone in the lower part of the body (12a; 12b). The receptacle (21) surrounds a second tubular duct (32) inside the first tubular duct (20), whose upper end faces the opening (16) and whose lower end faces the bottom of the body (12a; 12b), and which defines an internal edge of the receptacle (21) for the purpose of retaining a quantity of the granular material (R) therein. |
