<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an information display of scatter reflection type, which is able to evaluate the state of display at a stage before a pixel electrode, a color filter, and etc., are formed. <P>SOLUTION: A scatter reflection type display body 120 is formed, in which a glass substrate 101, a release layer 102, a transparent conductive film 103, a microcapsule layer 104, an adhesive layer 105, a silicone release agent layer 106, a transparent conductive film 107, and a PET film 108 are laid one over another in that order. A display state is inspected by applying an inspection voltage between the transparent conductive films 103 and 107, thereby changing the state of the scatter reflection of the microcapsule layer 104. Then, the silicone release agent layer 106 and the adhesive layer 105 are separated from their boundary surface, then a rear plate 202 with a pixel electrode 201 formed thereon is joined to it such that the pixel electrode 201 and adhesive layer 105 are in contact with each other. Then, the release layer 102 is heated to foam and is released from a release layer 301 on which the transparent conductive film 103 has been foamed.
