PURPOSE: A method for reducing and expanding an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) signal and a transmitter and a receiver thereof are provided to obtain combining gain by performing MRRC(Maximum Ratio Receive Combining) for a time domain signal of signals which are repetitively transferred. CONSTITUTION: A symbol mapping part(11) maps user signals into a complex number symbol. A symbol repetition part(12) divides the symbol generated in the symbol mapping part into group signals of 2 to 32 repetitive number. An inverse fast Fourier transform part(13) successively respectively performs fast inverse Fourier transformation for a plurality of repetitive group signals which is outputted in the symbol repetition part. A zero deletion part(14) deletes an inserted zero from time domain signals including zeros of inverted fast Fourier signals. An OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) signal generating part(15) forms an OFDM signal. A digital to analog converter(16) and a radio frequency block(17) transmit the OFDM signal through an antenna.
