<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing device which photographs and records content of a book only by holding a book or the like with hands and turning pages. <P>SOLUTION: The photographing device comprises: an imaging unit capable of consecutively imaging a book; a determining unit which determines an image allowing the content of the book to be recognized among the images consecutively obtained by the imaging unit; and a recording unit for actually recording the image determined by the determining unit.
