摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic composite for wavelength conversion, which can be further improved in the light emission intensity and the heat conductivity as a ceramic composite, and can achieve the elongation or the life of a light emitting diode and the like to be used. <P>SOLUTION: The ceramic composite 1 is constituted of inorganic materials having a matrix phase 3 composed of a translucent ceramic and a phosphor phase composed of YAG containing Ce, wherein the content of the phosphor phase 5 is &ge;22 and &le;55 vol.% in terms of volume ratio in the whole phase containing the matrix phase and the phosphor phase; the content of Ce in the YAG is &ge;0.005 and &le;0.05 in terms of atomic ratio (Ce/Y) to Y; and the thickness in the light outgoing direction is &ge;30 and &le;200 &mu;m. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
