<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal with a touch panel which allows visually impaired persons to input braille characters. <P>SOLUTION: A portable terminal 10 actuated by operation from a touch panel 14 whose surface is divided into multiple areas of a predetermined size includes an input detection part 30 capable of recognizing the presence/absence of touch for each area, a braille character storage part 32 for storing locations of dots composing one braille character for each braille character, a braille character selection part 34 for selecting the braille character input from the touch panel, based on the presence/absence of touch in each area detected by the input detection part 30 and the dot locations stored in the braille character storage part 32, and an input result storage part 36 for storing braille characters selected by the braille character selection part 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
