<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component, in which the exfoliation of an external electrode formed by plating from a laminate is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic component has a laminate 11. The laminate 11 includes a stack of ceramic layers, and has a mount face formed by aligned outer edges of the ceramic layers. The laminate 11 further includes a capacitor conductor 18 provided on one ceramic layer; the capacitor conductor 18 having bare parts exposed from between the ceramic layers in the mount face. Conductive layers 12 and 13 constituting external electrodes are provided to cover the bare parts, and formed by direct plating. The conductive layer 14 covers the conductive layers 12 and 13, and covers part of the surface of the laminate 11, and it is formed by material including metal and glass or resin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
