<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an operator from touching a high temperature member even if the operator touches a fixing device when removing a jam or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device 130 includes a pressure roller 133 and an endless fixing belt 131 forming a nip part 136 in contact with the pressure roller 133. A heating means 132, a pressure pad 134, and a reflection plate 135 are provided inside the fixing belt 131. The reflection plate 135 is composed of reflection members 135a, 135b and 135c and functions as a surrounding member driven by a driving means and disposed so as to surround the heating means 132. The driving means disposes the reflection members 135a and 135c in a heating position where a predetermined function is exhibited by the heating means when the heating means 132 is heating, and disposes them in the position where the heating means 132 is surrounded to prevent fingers 50 from touching the heating means 132 via the fixing belt 131 when the heating means 132 is not heating. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
