<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric supercharger reducing a loss and improving efficiency by reducing an inductance in wiring lines, and achieving reduction in size. <P>SOLUTION: The electric supercharger 1 includes: a turbine impeller 10 driven by exhaust gas of an engine; a compressor impeller 20 compressing air and supercharging the engine; a connecting shaft 30 with one end connected to the rotation shaft 11 of the turbine impeller 10 and with the other end connected to the rotation shaft 21 of the compressor impeller 20; a motor 40 composed of a motor stator 401 and a motor rotor 400 fixed to the connecting shaft 30; a controlling device 50 mounted on the outer peripheral wall of a motor housing 104, for converting DC power into AC power and controlling the motor 40; and a cooling device 800 cooling the controlling device 50.
