PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-degree-of-freedom positioning device which can support the weights of an end plate and a fixture or tool by a simple structure, and suppresses heat generation by a drive current, and secures drive power when performing work.

SOLUTION: This multi-degree-of-freedom positioning device includes: a plurality of links 3 connected between a base plate 2 and an end plate 4; actuators 6 attached to the respective links 3 for driving the links 3; and a gravity compensation device 5 connected between the base plate 2 and the end plate 4 for supporting the weights of the end plate 4 in a steady position and an object attached to the end plate 4.
