<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of taking in and out a medium container in two directions in a stable state without a recording medium stuck, and an image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: The feeder includes the medium container to which a recording medium stack is mounted and contained, a feeding means for feeding the medium from the recording medium stack in the medium container, and a feeder body in which the medium container and the feeding means are housed. A first direction operation in which the medium container is taken in and out to the feeding direction upstream side and/or the feeding direction downstream side for the feeder body by the feeding means when seen in a plane view, and a second direction operation in which the medium container is taken in and out in a direction perpendicular to the take-in/out direction by the first direction operation are possible. In the take-out operation by the first direction operation, the feeding means remains on the feeder body side, and in the second direction operation, the feeding means moves in and out together with the medium container. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
