<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable which can reduce a load on an utility pole and can have durability of laying over a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical cable 1, a coated optical fiber 21 is housed in a housing groove 3a of a slot 3, the coated optical fiber 21 and the slot 3 are covered with a high-strength inside fiber body 4, are covered with an inside sheath 5, are covered with a high-strength outside fiber body 6, and are covered with an outside sheath 7. When the optical cable 1 is branched into a T-shape, the outside sheath 7 is cut out and separated from the inside sheath 5 together with the outside fiber body 6, and the separated outside sheath 7 and the outside fiber body 6 are formed into a suspension wire. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
