<p>The conveyor, e.g. a drum or endless band, has an array of spikes on its surface defining lanes extending in the advance direction of the conveyor. A guide supplies several yarns to the conveyor such that they lie parallel with each other, each in an associated lane. Pref. a suction is applied through the conveyor surface to maintain the yarns in their respective lanes. The conveyor can supply yarns to the mechanism at high speed without the yarns entangling.</p> |
