Compsn. consists of (I) 30-95 wt.% thermoplastic resin material (II) 5-70 wt.% coarse glass fibres, (III) 0-60 wt.% filler, and (IV) 0.017-0.33 kg/m2 fine fibres in the form of a surface mat. A crystalline or amorphous resin may be used. When stamped in a mechanical press, the compsn gives very smooth, glossy surfaced products with a roughness of less than 500 micro-inches. The surface is free of faults. |
