<p>Olefins pref. propylene are converted to exposides in the liquid phase with molecular oxygen in the presence of a catalyst comprising (a) a gp. VI a metal cpd. pref. a halide, oxyhalide or acetylacetonate, esp. of Mo (b) an organic or organoaluminim cpd. pref. i-PrOH or Al(i-Pro)3 and (c) a phosphate, phosphite or isonitrile pref. PR3 P(OR)3 or RNC (where all R gps. are independently, (cyclo)aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbyl of 1-12C). MEthod has wider scope than those using a zero valent metal complex.</p> |
