FIXING APPARATUS FOR OUTER ROTOR TYPE SUPERCONDUCTOR BEARING

PURPOSE: A fixing device for an outer ring-type superconducting bearing is provided to completely control a position while field cooling because a shaft is arranged in the one end part of an outer ring-type superconducting bearing rotor and a height of the rotor is fixed. CONSTITUTION: A fixing device for an outer ring-type superconducting bearing comprises a ring-shaped jaw guide(9) and a ring-shaped spiral guide(10). The ring-shaped jaw guide comprises a plurality of fixing jaws(8). The spiral guide is connected to the outer power by a rack and pinion(11). When the rack and pinion rotates, the fixing jaws moves in a radial direction so that a rotor of an outer ring-type superconducting bearing is fixed.
