Acidic solutions are treated with cationic polyelectrolyte while stirring for 1-10 minutes at temperature 20-80C in the presence of suspended amorphous silicon dioxide particles. The obtained residue is separated from the solutions. The cationic polyelectrolyte used is an acrylamide and methyl chloride copolymer in form of an aqueous solution.
