<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alter robot control parameter values according to a feature value of a contact area of a person and an operating section of a robot, thereby switching between control adapted to quickly move the robot and that adapted to slowly (or accurately) move robot by differently grabbing the operating section. <P>SOLUTION: The robot includes a feature value acquiring section for acquiring the feature value of the contact area of the operating section of the robot and the person, and a control parameter determining section for determining the robot control parameter values based on the feature value acquired by the feature value acquiring section.
