#CMT# #/CMT# The solid vegetable fuel is prepared from granulated flax loam pressed to form granules with a density of 0.5 to 0.68 kilograms per cubic meter and a relative humidity of approximately 8 to 12 per cent. The granules have a relatively high calorific value, making them suitable as a source of energy. The granules lend themselves readily to transportation. With complete combustion only as much carbon dioxide is formed as that converted into oxygen during the growth of the original plants. #CMT# : #/CMT# The granules can also incorporate a binding medium comprising a small quantity of vegetable oil. Preferably they have a diameter of between 6 and 30 mm. Their calorific value amounts to a minimum of 16 megajoules per kilogram. The flax loam is disintegrated using a hammer mill to a maximum length of 3 mm, after which they are mixed with the vegetable oil. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# As solid vegetable fuel prepared from flax loam. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The granules, after disintegration, are cooled by cold air circulation to ambient temperature. This improves their mechanical properties, they become more rigid and less breakable.
|
