An electric pressure cooker with a quick pressure relief function comprises a lid and a body. The lid includes a plastic cover (10) and a stainless cover (11). The body comprises an upper liner seat (12) and a plastic housing (13). The electric pressure cooker further comprises a water pump (14) and a water tank. The water pump (14) is provided within the body, and the water tank is provided on the side surface of the body. The lid has a water sprinkling structure for distributing water to the upper surface of the stainless cover (11). The upper liner seat (12) has a water collection structure for receiving water flowing from the upper surface of the stainless cover (11). A water discharging hole (15) is provided on the bottom surface of the water collection structure. An opening is provided on the top of the water tank. The opening of the water tank is under the water discharging hole (15). The water inlet of the water pump (14) is connected with the water outlet of the water tank. The water outlet of the water pump (14) is connected with the water sprinkling structure. The electric pressure cooker can perform water circulation cooling by the cooperation of the water pump (14), water tank, water sprinkling structure and water collection structure.
