Provided is a method for reverse differentiation of human somatic cells to produce autologous stem cells, which method comprises culturing human somatic cells in steps using a culture solution containing various plant extracts and protein components so as to reverse-differentiate the somatic cells to produce autologous stem cells. By using this method, first generation autologous stem cells of a number at the level of tens of billions are produced within 2 weeks. The method is suitable for establishing a novel autologous stem cell library, permanently preserving autologous stem cells and individual genetic information, and is suitable for use in disease treatment and anti-aging healthcare in regenerative medicine, and in the industrial fields of autologous tissue organ engineering and production of autologous stem cells. Such human autologous stem cells induced by plant extracts and protein components have cell-specific phenotypes similar to those of human natural reproduction stem cells, and maintain a quite high capability for propagating and passing on from generation to generation, and possess favourable potential for use.
